Connect
To CONNECT is to join, link or unite. What connects you to deepest self? It might be time alone, time with friends, your faith, your passions, yoga, creative time. Take a moment to connect with what moves you. A solitary walk allows time for introspection and to get in touch with yourself. A walk with a friend connects you to her wants, needs and desires. Either option is positive. What connection can you make today?

Yoga Pose: Revolved Chair Pose Parivrtta Utkatasana
Warm up your core and connect to your inner being in this basic pose with a twist.
Foundation. Start in Tadasana - Mountain Pose. Set your intention.
Stance. Bend your knees equally, coming into Chair Pose. Keep your weight evenly distributed on your feet without collapsing your arches.
Legs. Continue to maintain action in your legs to create a strong base for revolving your torso.
Arms. Place your hands together in front of your heart in Anjuli Mudra (prayer). Continue to breathe evenly.
Torso. Lengthen your spine. Relax your shoulders. Twist to the right, placing your left elbow on the outside of your right thigh. Let your right elbow point up to the sky.
Gaze. Soften your jaw and eyes. Rotate your head as part of the twist, but keep your chin softened toward your shoulder to prevent hyperextension of the neck.
Timing. Hold for 30 seconds or longer. Return to center and an upright position.
