Imagine

To IMAGINE is to suppose, dream or believe. When facing a major decision, a positive way to go about deciding what to do is to imagine the endless possibilities. Brainstorm. Be outrageous. Think outside the box. Make a list of all your ideas. Explore your options. Then choose the path that resonates with you...and go for it...without reservation. Climb the mountain. It's worth the view.

"I imagine the possibilities."

Yoga Pose: Tree Pose Vrikasana

This pose has as many variations as you can imagine. Your lifted leg can be anywhere from near the ankle of the balance leg with your toes touching the ground all the way up to having the foot pressed in at the top of your thigh. Your hands and arms can be in Anjali Mudra (prayer), down by your sides, lifted to the sky or any variation you create.

Foundation. Start in Tadasana - Mountain Pose. Set your intention.

Stance. Shift your weight into your right leg, maintaining a strong foundation through the right foot. Keep your right leg straight without locking your knee.

Legs. Lift your left foot up and place the sole of the foot against the inner side of the right leg. Use your hands if necessary to place it where you want it. Keep the left knee pointed out to the left side.

Torso. Lengthen the spine. Relax the shoulders.

Arms. Allow your arms to float up and stretch your fingertips the reach the sky or place your hands in Anjali Mudra. Create any variation you feel good doing. Every time you do tree pose, it takes on a unique shape.

Gaze. Soften your jaw and eyes. Keep your head in a neutral position. Smile.

Timing. Stay balanced for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Exhale to come out of the pose.
