Strengthen
To STRENGTHEN is to make stronger, more robust, vigorous and courageous. What personality trait, creative passion or deep commitment do you need to strengthen to continue to be the best you can be? Trust yourself to be true to your deepest desires and how you want to be in the world. As the Bristle Cone Pine tree grows thicker and stronger to face the harsh conditions of a high altitude existence, you can strengthen your resolve to stand strong in the face of the challenges life presents you.

"I strengthen my resolve to be my very best."
Yoga Pose: Lord of the Dance Pose Natarajasana
Strengthen your spine and find the freedom to express yourself without apology in this beautiful standing balance pose.
Foundation. Begin in Tadasana (Mountain Pose). Set your intention.
Move. Inhale and lift your left leg up behind you as you shift your weight into your right leg. Reach back with your left hand and grasp your left ankle. To prevent the leg and knee from splaying out to the side, hold the inside of the ankle with your fingers pointing out. Firm the right hip towards the mid-line, continue to lengthen and strengthen the right leg.
Torso. As you press the left thigh up and back, press your left foot into your hand, then counteract the movement with arching your back to create a backbending quality to the pose.
Arm. Reach the right arm forward and up, without scrunching your shoulders.
Gaze. Soften your jaw and eyes. Keep neck extended, yet soft. Gaze forward. Stay for 30 seconds or longer. To come out of the pose, exhale, release the left ankle, bring the arms down and return to standing firmly in Tadasana.
