Wonder

To WONDER is to be filled with admiration, amazement or awe. Imagine living your life with the eyes of a child. So many new things to explore, to touch, to taste, to see and experience. Watch the interplay of colors in Autumn leaves. Notice the juxtaposition of light and dark as you enter a cave. Find patterns created by the minerals in the sand. Live life awake. Every breath is a gift. May you never lose your sense of wonder.

"I keep my sense of wonder alive."

Yoga Pose: Upward Salute Urdhva Hastasana (literally means Raised Hands Pose)

Feel free to express your awe and wonder of our beautiful world with this happy pose.

Foundation. Start with your feet about hip width apart and parallel to each other. Set your intention.

Stance. Center your weight so it is distributed equally between your heels and toes and the outer and inner edges of your feet. Lengthen your legs, yet keep a softness in the knees while your legs are fully activated.

Torso. Keep your torso and upper body upright, aligned in the center with your spine elongated and your pelvis in neutral.

Arms. Turn your palms away from your body as you sweep your arms up to an upward V position. Release your shoulders away from your ears.

Gaze. Soften your jaw and eyes. Gaze forward or slightly upward.
